Session 1

Introduction (5 mins.)
First, T hangs some flashcards on the board to introduce the dimensions of health. T points out each flashcard one by one and elicits or teaches the vocabulary. T elicit from Ss the verbs in each image. Then, T teaches and explains dimensions of health and introduces vocabulary. Ss take notes.
Development (30 mins.)
T asks Ss: What do you do to stay healthy? Do you eat fruits or vegetables every day? How many hours do you sleep at night? What do you do to relax after a stressful day? Do you like to read? Who do you talk to when you feel stressed? How do you make new friends? What makes you feel proud of yourself?
T writes example sentences on the board: I sleep for eight hours every night, he eats fruit every day, we play football every week. T highlights third-person singular rules (+s/-es).
T hands out a worksheet to each S and asks them to complete 10 sentences using simple present.   T checks Ss’ answers with the whole class.
Consolidation (10 mins.)
Ss write 5 sentences about their daily habits using simple present (e.g., “I play soccer every day.”). Once Ss finished, they swap papers and check with their peers.
Conclusion (5 mins.)
T provides any correction needed on Ss’ production and use of language.
Homework:
Complete the dialogue:
A: What do you do to stay healthy?
B: __________________________.
A: That’s good! What else do you do?
B: __________________________ every day.
A: How does it make you feel?
B: __________________________.

Session 2

Introduction (5 mins.)
First, T shows pictures of various food items (e.g., apple, milk, sugar). T asks “What is this?” “Is it one or many?” “Can we count it?”
T writes the answers on the board in two columns: Countable and Uncountable. Development (30 mins.)
T hands out a worksheet to each S and asks them to identify countable and uncountable nouns.   Ss check their answers in pair before feedback.
Then, T explains Ss the use of the articles “a” and “an”, and the adjective “some” with nouns. T gives Ss examples and Ss take notes.
Use "a" before words starting with consonant sounds (e.g., a banana).
Use "an" before words starting with vowel sounds (e.g., an orange).
Use “some” with plural countable nouns and uncountable nouns (e.g., some apples, some water).
Ss read some statements and decide if they are true or false. T checks Ss’ answers and provide feedback.
Consolidation (10 mins.)
Ss complete some sentences with a, an or some.
Conclusion (5 mins.)
T asks: “What did you learn today?” “What is a countable noun? Give an example.”
Homework: Write a shopping list with at least 10 items for a healthy diet. Use numbers for countable nouns and “some” for uncountable nouns.
