These guidelines for the project outline the key steps and strategies for implementation. However, they must be adapated and contextualized according to the unique challenges and opportunities of the community context or area.

Content:
The use of the English language to express the needs, interests, and problems of the community.
​Learning development process:
Learners research in English texts implemented solutions for community problems and report their findings orally or in writing.
Problem:
The lack of solutions to community problems can lead to a deterioration in the quality of life for its residents and an increase in conflicts and tensions, negatively impacting the well-being and development of the community.

Use open-ended questions to assess prior knowledge
  1. What do you think are some common problems faced by our community?
  2. How do you think these problems impact the lives of people in our community?
  3. Have you ever noticed any initiatives or solutions implemented in our community to address these problems?
Possible answers:
1. Poverty, unemployment, corruption, discrimination, crime, violence, drugs, pollution, water scarcity, and obesity.

Momento 5. Comprensión y producción
Make descriptions of community problems problems
For example:
  • I can see people searching for jobs, but there are limited employment opportunities available. 
  • People live in constant fear of harm.
  • There are regions facing water scarcity. 
  • I can see polluted rivers and smog-filled skies. 
  • There are reports of crime rates escalating. 
  • People face oppression due to their gender, race, or beliefs. 
Write solutions for the problems
For example:
  • Let's implement recycling programs.
  • We can install more streetlights to improve safety.
  • We could advocate for a bus route to connect our community.
  • Let's establish a neighborhood watch program to improve safety and reduce crime rates. 
  • We should form a group to paint murals and discourage vandalism.
  • Let's ask the city to repair and maintain them.
  • We should organize awareness campaigns to encourage transparency and accountability.
  • Let's implement water conservation programs and encourage responsible usage.
  • We need to promote diversity and tolerance through cultural exchange events.
  • We should advocate for policies that promote equal access to education and job opportunities for all residents. 
  • Establishing a neighborhood watch program could enhance safety and security.
  • Let's organize job fairs and workshops to connect people with job opportunities.
