1. Choose your topic for the monologue. Here are some ideas:
  • My hobbies.
  • My best friend.
  • My family.
  • Things that bothers you.
  • How I met my girlfriend/boyfriend.
  • The craziest thing I've done.
  • The place where you live.
  • My favorite music.
  • Life experiences.
  • Future plans.
  • Fears.
  • Funny anecdotes.
  • Complaints.
2. Choose the correct type of monologue:
  • Narrative.
  • Interior.
  • Dramatic. 
  • Comedic.
3. Answer the following questions:
  • Who is involved in the monologue?
  • How does it happen?
  • Where does it happen?
  • When does it happen?
  • What happens?
  • Why does it happen?
4. Write some ideas that you want to include in the monologue. 
5. Make a list of body language or gesture you can use.
6. Cut out cardboard cards and write your chosen topics on each of them.
7. Establish the rules of participation and time limit.
8. Place the cards face down and asks the first player pick up a card at random and improvise his/her monologue.
