Introduction (5 mins.) T shows pictures of famous heroes from Mexico and asks Ss: “What do you see? Who are these people? What makes someone a hero?” T introduces the word “hero” and write it on the board. A hero is a person who is admired for their courage, outstanding achievements, or noble qualities. Development (25 mins.) T hands out a worksheet to each S and asks them to match the heroes with their contributions or title. After that, Ss some true-false statements and decide if they are true or false. T checks Ss’ answers with the whole class. Consolidation (15 mins.) Ss complete a short text about the heroes from Mexico. T monitors the activity and provides help as needed. Conclusion (5 mins.) T asks Ss “Why do we need heroes?” and “Can anyone be a hero?” and encourages them to share their thoughts. Homework: Choose a hero not mentioned in class and research their contribution. Introduction (10 mins.) T hands out a worksheet to each S and asks them to label pictures of historical events. T checks Ss’ answers and provide feedback. Development (25 mins.) T hands out a worksheet to each S and asks them to match descriptions with historical events. After that, T hands out some cutouts (images of historical events) and asks Ss to arrange them correctly. Ss compare their work with other classmates and draw conclusions. Consolidation (10 mins.) T hands out a worksheet to each S and asks them to match dates with historical events. T checks Ss’ answers and provide feedback. Conclusion (5 mins.) T encourages Ss to share any strategies they used to identify the chronological order or new terms. Homework: Write a list of five new historical terms learned during the lesson. Write a sentence for each term to demonstrate their understanding of its meaning and context. |
